ERP Integrator for Excel · Excel add-in

Excel to Odoo Integration

Keep your bills of materials in Excel and send them from the ribbon: ERP Integrator for Excel turns every row into an Odoo product, with its cost and sales price, and every parent into a bill of materials, and shows in Excel where the workbook and Odoo differ.

Excel and Odoo

The workbook you already keep, sent to Odoo

Many companies keep their bills of materials in Excel, and every row has to become a product, and every parent a bill of materials, in Odoo. Typed in by hand, that is slow and easy to get wrong.

ERP Integrator for Excel adds an ERP Integrator tab to the Excel ribbon. It reads the item number, description, parent, quantity, cost, price and unit of every row, a mapping decides which column fills which Odoo field, and an optional macro holds the rules that go further.

  • Rows become products

With cost and sales price, and a bill of materials for every parent.

  • Differences in red

ERP Data compares the workbook with Odoo.

  • Columns mapped once

Number, name, cost and price go to the Odoo fields you choose.

  • Rules in plain words

The AI writes the rule, you approve, the preview shows the result.

Excel to Odoo: send, check and add a purchase rule

An engine workbook is sent all levels from the Excel ribbon, its products and bill of materials are opened in Odoo, a changed quantity is caught in Excel and the assistant previews a Can be Purchased rule before anything is sent.

How it works

From workbook rows to Odoo

Excel workbook with the ERP Integrator ribbon tab: Send Data to Odoo and Send to Odoo all levels, and rows with number, description, parent, quantity, cost, price and unit

Your workbook

Rows, parents, quantities and prices

The workbook holds what you already keep: the item number, the description, the parent item, the quantity, the unit cost, the unit price and the unit of measure. The ERP Integrator tab on the ribbon sends the selected item or the whole structure, and opens the ERP views and the AI chat.

Send

Send to Odoo, all levels

On the ribbon, send the workbook all levels. ERP Integrator reads every row, applies your rules and creates everything in Odoo: the products, the bills of materials for the engine and its piston sub-assembly, and every line. The result shows what happened to each item.

Result in Odoo

Products with prices, and the bill of materials

In Odoo all nine products are there, with their sales prices and costs from the workbook. The bill of materials of the engine lists its four lines with their quantities: the same as in the workbook.

  • Mapping in the demo: No to the internal reference, Description to the name, Unit_Cost to the cost and Unit_Price to the sales price.

Live Odoo data inside Excel

Show ERP item details shows the product live from Odoo, and ERP Data puts the workbook and Odoo side by side. One quantity has since changed in the workbook, so the difference stands out in red, and the tooltip shows both values.

Rules and AI

Your company rules in plain words

Describe a rule in plain words: pins, rings and screws are bought, so tick Can be Purchased for them and not for the rest. The AI checks the field in Odoo and the current macro, asks for your approval before it changes the field mapping and the macro, writes the rule, checks that it compiles and previews the result on the real workbook.

  • Preview: the wrist pin, both rings and the cap screw can be purchased, the rest cannot.
  • Nothing has been saved or sent at that point.

Questions

Ask whether the workbook matches

Asked whether the quantities in the workbook match Odoo, the assistant compares the rows with the live bills of materials in Odoo and answers: every line matches, except the conrod cap screw, four in the workbook and two in Odoo.

Search

What already exists in Odoo

Ask which of the items in the workbook already exist in Odoo: the assistant queries the ERP and answers in one table. All nine are there, so the next send updates them instead of creating new ones.

The assistant works with your own key for Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or a compatible model, with a ChatGPT sign-in, with a coding agent such as Claude or Gemini, or with your own assistant through the MCP connector. Whatever it proposes, nothing is changed until you approve it.

FAQ

Questions about Excel and Odoo

What does the workbook need to contain?

A row per item with its number and description, and for bills of materials a parent item column and a quantity column. Cost, sales price and unit of measure are optional columns. Which column fills which Odoo field is set in the mapping, so your own column names work.

Does it create bills of materials on several levels?

Yes. Send all levels creates the products and a bill of materials with its components for every parent in the workbook, in the demo the engine and its piston sub-assembly.

Can it compare a bill of materials as of a date?

No. A workbook has no history and Odoo keeps one current bill of materials, so ERP Data compares the workbook as it is now with the current bill of materials in Odoo. For history, use the integration from Autodesk Vault or SOLIDWORKS PDM.

Which AI models can the assistant use?

Your own key for Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or a compatible model, a ChatGPT sign-in, a coding agent such as Claude or Gemini, or your own assistant through the MCP connector. The assistant can read both systems, but the field mapping, the macro and the ERP data change only after you approve.

Which ERPs and applications does the same engine support?

ERP Integrator for Excel connects to Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business One and Odoo, chosen when you install it. The same engine runs in Autodesk Vault, Autodesk Inventor, SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM.
