Following are important points about tight integration

  • Live update data in Dynamics AX when data is updated in SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM
  • Browse for required AX data inside SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM and import data

Dynamics AX loose integration with SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM

Following are important points about loose integration

  • Update of data is not live. It is done at fixed intervals. For example after every 5 minutes
  • Not possible to browse for AX data inside PDM.
  • Errors are not seen immediately but are stored inside a log file
